1. About these Terms. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website www.marinexacademy.com and its subdomains (the "Site"), operated by "Marinex" IMU, CET Coaching Academy ("Marinex", "we", "us", "our"), Kozhikode, Kerala. By accessing, browsing, submitting an enquiry, booking an orientation, or otherwise using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Eligibility & minors. The Site is intended for use by persons capable of forming a binding contract under Indian law. If you are under 18, you may use the Site and submit details only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

3. Nature of the Site. The Site is an informational and lead-engagement platform describing Marinex's IMU-CET coaching programs, mentors, and admission process, and allowing visitors to enquire, register interest, or book a free orientation session. Information on the Site is for general guidance only and does not constitute a binding offer, admission, or guarantee of any kind.

4. Independent institute — no affiliation. Marinex is a private, independent coaching institute. It is not affiliated to, endorsed by, an agent of, or connected with the Indian Maritime University (IMU), the Directorate General of Shipping, or any Government or statutory authority. References to "IMU-CET" on the Site are solely to identify the examination for which coaching is provided.

5. No guarantee of results or outcomes. Marinex provides exam-preparation coaching only. Nothing on the Site is a promise or guarantee of any IMU-CET rank, score, qualification, admission to any institution, sponsorship, training berth, placement, or employment in the Merchant Navy or elsewhere. Any salary figures, success stories, testimonials, or career information shown on the Site are illustrative and indicative, and individual results vary.

6. Accuracy of information. We try to keep Site content (including fees, dates, batch details, syllabus and exam information) accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, error-free, or up to date. Examination details — notification, eligibility, syllabus, schedule and results — are controlled solely by IMU/the conducting authority and may change without notice. You should verify critical information with us directly and with the official examination authority before relying on it.

7. Enquiries, bookings & communication consent. When you submit a form, enquiry, or orientation booking, you authorise Marinex and its representatives to contact you by phone call, SMS, WhatsApp, and email in response to your enquiry and regarding our programs. You confirm that the contact details you provide are your own and are accurate. You may opt out of promotional communication at any time by writing to us.

8. Privacy & personal data. Personal data you submit through the Site is collected and processed for responding to enquiries, admissions, and communication, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and our Privacy Policy [link]. By using the Site you consent to such collection and processing. You may request access to or correction of your data by contacting us.

9. Acceptable use. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and not to: (a) submit false, misleading, or third-party personal information without authority; (b) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or connected systems; (c) introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code; (d) scrape, copy, republish, or commercially exploit Site content without written permission; (e) use the Site to harass, defame, or harm Marinex, its staff, mentors, or students; or (f) interfere with the Site's operation or security.

10. Intellectual property. All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, the Marinex name and mark, mentor profiles, photographs, videos, design, and study-related material — is owned by or licensed to Marinex and is protected under applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes only. No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used for any other purpose without our prior written consent.

11. Third-party links. The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources (for example, official examination portals or social-media pages). These are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

12. Enrolment & fees. Any enrolment in a Marinex program initiated through the Site is subject to our Admission Terms & Conditions and Payment & Refund Policy, which prevail over the Site for matters of admission, fees, and refunds. Where the Site offers or facilitates online payment, such transactions are processed through third-party payment gateways subject to their own terms; we are not responsible for gateway errors, declines, or delays.

13. Disclaimer of warranties. The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including as to uninterrupted or error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, and freedom from viruses. We do not warrant that the Site will always be available or secure.

14. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marinex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, opportunity, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site or reliance on its content. Our total aggregate liability arising in connection with the Site shall not exceed ₹1,000 (Rupees One Thousand).

15. Indemnity. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Marinex, its directors, mentors, and staff from any claim, loss, or expense arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

16. Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in operating the Site caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including network or hosting failure, power outage, natural calamity, epidemic, cyber-attack, or Government action.

17. Changes to the Site and Terms. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; the revised version takes effect when posted on the Site with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. Suspension of access. We may restrict or terminate your access to the Site, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or applicable law.

19. Governing law & jurisdiction. These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The parties shall endeavour to resolve disputes amicably, including by mediation under the Mediation Act, 2023, before litigation. Subject thereto, the courts at Kozhikode, Kerala shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
